LifeSteps for PrEP for Youth

On PrEP? Interested in PrEP? The Fenway Institute is enrolling a paid research study for young gay and bi men who have very recently started taking PrEP. PrEP stands for pre-exposure prophylaxis. It involves a healthy person taking a pill once a day that can prevent HIV when taken correctly.

Participants will be randomized to either receive standard of care PrEP initiation follow-up or be placed in the intervention group, which will receive the Life Steps intervention. The LifeSteps group will receive 1 on 1 counseling at 4 consecutive weekly visits one week apart and then 2 additional sessions at 8 weeks and 12 weeks post baseline.

You may be eligible to participate if you:
– You are HIV Negative
– You recently initiated PrEP
– You are aged 16–24
